17.卻說曹操罷三公之職，自以丞相兼之，以毛玠為東曹掾；崔琰為西曹掾；司馬懿為文學掾。懿字仲達，河內溫人也：潁川太守司馬雋之孫，京兆尹司馬防之子，主簿司馬朗之弟也。自是文官大備，乃聚武將商議南征。夏侯惇進曰：「近聞劉備在新野，每日教演士卒，必為後患，可早圖之。」
