Q. 44. What doth the preface to the ten commandments teach us?

A. The preface to the ten commandments teacheth us, that because God is the Lord, and our God, and Redeemer, therefore we are bound to keep all his commandments.[118]


[118] Luke 1:74-75. That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. (눅1:74-75 우리로 원수의 손에서 건지심을 입고 종신토록 주의 앞에서 성결과 의로 두려움이 없이 섬기게 하리라 하셨도다 

1 Peter 1:14-19. As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. (벧전1:14-19너희가 순종하는 자식처럼 이전 알지 못할 때에 좇던 너희 사욕을 본 삼지 말고 오직 너희를 부르신 거룩한 자처럼 너희도 모든 행실에 거룩한 자가 되라 기록하였으되 내가 거룩하니 너희도 거룩할찌어다 하셨느니라 외모로 보시지 않고 각 사람의 행위대로 판단하시는 자를 너희가 아버지라 부른즉 너희의 나그네로 있을 때를 두려움으로 지내라 너희가 알거니와 너희 조상의 유전한 망령된 행실에서 구속된 것은 은이나 금 같이 없어질 것으로 한 것이 아니요 오직 흠 없고 점 없는 어린양 같은 그리스도의 보배로운 피로 한 것이니라 


문44. 십계명의 서문이 우리에게 교훈하는 것이 무엇인가 ?

답. 서문이 우리에게 교훈하는 것은 하나님께서 주도 되시고, 또 우리의 구속자도 되시는 고로 우리가 마땅히 그의 계명을 지켜야 하겠다는 것이다.

      (1) 하나님은 우리의 주가 되심 (엡 1:2 )

      (2) 구속자도 되심 (사 43:11 )

      (3) 그의 계명을 마땅히 지킬 것 (레 18:30 , 신 11:1 )
