Q. 38. What benefits do believers receive from Christ at the resurrection?

A. At the resurrection, believers, being raised up in glory,[109] shall be openly acknowledged and acquitted in the day of judgment,[110] and made perfectly blessed in the full enjoying of God[111] to all eternity.[112]


[109] 1 Corinthians 15:42-43. So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. (고전15:42-43 죽은 자의 부활도 이와 같으니 썩을 것으로 심고 썩지 아니할 것으로 다시 살며 욕된 것으로 심고 영광스러운 것으로 다시 살며 약한 것으로 심고 강한 것으로 다시 살며 

[110] Matthew 25:33-34, 46. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.... And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (마25:33-34,46  양은 그 오른편에, 염소는 왼편에 두리라 그 때에 임금이 그 오른편에 있는 자들에게 이르시되 내 아버지께 복 받을 자들이여 나아와 창세로부터 너희를 위하여 예비된 나라를 상속하라,저희는 영벌에, 의인들은 영생에 들어가리라 하시니라 

[111] Romans 8:29. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (롬8:29 하나님이 미리 아신 자들로 또한 그 아들의 형상을 본받게 하기 위하여 미리 정하셨으니 이는 그로 많은 형제 중에서 맏아들이 되게 하려 하심이니라

1 John 3:2. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (요일3:2  사랑하는 자들아 우리가 지금은 하나님의 자녀라 장래에 어떻게 될 것은 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타내심이 되면 우리가 그와 같을 줄을 아는 것은 그의 계신 그대로 볼 것을 인함이니 

[112] Psalm 16:11. Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. (시16:11 주께서 생명의 길로 내게 보이시리니 주의 앞에는 기쁨이 충만하고 주의 우편에는 영원한 즐거움이 있나이다 

1 Thessalonians 4:17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. (살전4:17 그 후에 우리 살아 남은 자도 저희와 함께 구름 속으로 끌어 올려 공중에서 주를 영접하게 하시리니 그리하여 우리가 항상 주와 함께 있으리라


문38. 신자가 부활할 때에는 그리스도에게서 무슨 유익을 받느가 ?

답. 신자가 부활할 때에는 영광 중에 다시 살아남을 입어 심판날에 밝히 안다 하심과, 죄없다 하심을 받고 완전히 복을 받아 영원토록 하나님을 흡족하게 즐거워하는 것이다.

      (1) 영광 중에 다시 산다 (요 5:28 , 고전 15:42-44 , 살전 4:16,17 )

      (2) 심판날에 인정하심을 받음 (마 10:40-42 )

      (3) 완전한 복을 받아 영원토록 하나님을 즐거워 하게 된다 (마 25:34 )
