Micah 02: Is Iniquity Liberal Or Conservative?

"Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand"

Iniquity (see the Fact Finder question below) is when a people declare that what is evil is right - and what is right, as determined by the LORD, the Judge that all humans will one day face, is regarded as wrong, or even criminal. Iniquity isn't just a matter of gutter-level sexual immorality - it involves everything.

Iniquity isn't simply a matter of "liberal" or "conservative." Adolf Hitler (see also Why Does Satan Love Liars?) was a "liberal" with his "National Socialist German Workers' Party," while his major wartime ally in Europe, Benito Mussolini of Italy, became a "conservative" with his "National Fascist Party."

It seems no mere coincidence that both Hitler and Mussolini saw themselves as restorers of the Roman Empire - in the Italian Mussolini's case, the original Roman Empire (see A History Of Jerusalem: Pompey And The Caesars), while in the Austrian-German Hitler's case it was the "Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation" (see The Holy Roman Empire Of The German Nation).

Adolf Hitler was one of the most evil and despicable war criminals that ever lived. He invaded and plundered country after country. He obliterated civilized human rights wherever he went. He was responsible for the torture and deaths of millions of innocent people in his concentration camps. But Hitler (and those like him, before and ever since) did it all "legally" because his government (democracy is not an effective defense, for any nation, from creating a "Hitler" - Hitler was democratically elected to the German Parliament) passed legislation that said that Hitler had the "lawful right" to do what he did. As President, Hitler never violated the law of his own country (or whenever he did, he simply passed some other law that made whatever he did "legal") and yet he was a Satanic man of lawlessness. Hitler was not the first "law-abiding" man of lawlessness, iniquity, nor will he be the last.

As yet another example of how far and bizarre that iniquity can go, Hitler regarded himself as a Christian while committing his Satanic crimes e.g. "We want to fill our culture again with the Christian spirit" and "I believe today that my conduct is in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator" (see some of his other narcissistic quotes at Presidential Quotes On War, Terrorism, Religion). Hitler was born as a Roman Catholic; the "Mary and Jesus" painting below was done by Adolf Hitler (note how he portrays them as Nordic and Germanic, rather than the Middle East Jews that they actually were).

Prior to the return of Christ, the world is going to be devastated by another Hitler-like "man of lawlessness," a great political and military leader - who will be loved and revered by most of the people. Those who do not truly obey God will not recognize him as being evil:

"2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie" (2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 KJV).

The Holy Bible is filled with warnings of the end-time iniquity in which "law-abiding" (of the laws that they make for themselves) criminals (in the eyes of the LORD, for which their Judgment will surely come) will run with the Devil.

The apostle Paul's warning (see also 2 Thessalonians: The Falling Away Of The Son Of Perdition):

"2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him [see To Meet The Lord In The Air], 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand [see also Could Christ Return Tonight?]. 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders [see Revelation 13], 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 KJV)

The apostle John's warning (see also 3 John: Follow Not That Which Is Evil, But That Which Is Good and 2 John: The Bride Of Christ and The Great Harlots):

"13:5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months [see notes for Revelation 13]. 13:6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." (Revelation 13:5-8 KJV)

The apostle Peter's warning (see also 2 Peter: 'The Servants Of Corruption Promise Liberty'):

"2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government [see Grace Into Licentiousness]. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities. 2:11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord. 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; 2:14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: 2:15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness" (2 Peter 2:10-15 KJV)

The prophet Micah, along with the other prophets, was given to warn the kingdom of Israel and Judah against the iniquity that they were committing. Unfortunately, those who choose iniquity for themselves end up learning their lessons the hardest way possible (see The Capital Of The Lost Ten Tribes Of Israel).

"2:1 Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. 2:2 And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.

2:3 Therefore thus saith the LORD;

Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil. 2:4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.

2:5 Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD.

2:6 Prophesy ye not, say they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame. 2:7 O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly? 2:8 Even of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war. 2:9 The women of my people have ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever. 2:10 Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction. 2:11 If a man walking in the spirit and falsehood do lie, saying, I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.

2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. 2:13 The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the LORD on the head of them." (Micah 2:1-13 KJV)
