Q. 99. What rule hath God given for our direction in prayer?

A. The whole Word of God is of use to direct us in prayer;[205] but the special rule of direction is that form of prayer which Christ taught his disciples, commonly called the Lord’s Prayer.[206]


[205] 1 John 5:14. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us. (요일5:14 그를 향하여 우리의 가진바 담대한 것이 이것이니 그의 뜻대로 무엇을 구하면 들으심이라  

[206] Matthew 6:9-13. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. (마6:9-13  그러므로 너희는 이렇게 기도하라 하늘에 계신 우리 아버지여 이름이 거룩히 여김을 받으시오며 나라이 임하옵시며 뜻이 하늘에서 이룬 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다 오늘날 우리에게 일용할 양식을 주옵시고 우리가 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 사하여 준것 같이 우리 죄를 사하여 주옵시고 우리를 시험에 들게 하지 마옵시고 다만 악에서 구하옵소서 (나라와 권세와 영광이 아버지께 영원히 있사옵나이다 아멘) 



문99. 하나님께서 우리의 기도를 지시하시려고 주신 법칙이 무엇인가 ?

답. 하나님의 모든 말씀이 우리의 기도를 지시함에 유용한 것이나, 특별히 지시하신 법칙은 그리스도께서 그 제자들에게 가르치신 기도니, 보통으로 주기도문이라 하는 것이다 (마 6:9-13 )
