▶ 아드람멜렉(Adrammelech)

앗수르왕 산혜립의 아들로서 그 형제 사레셀과 같이 니스록 전각에서 경배하는 부왕을 죽 이고 아라랏 땅으로 도망하였다(왕하19:37).

Adrammelech. [Adram'melech]


1.  The god of the Sepharvites, to whom they burnt their children, placed in one of the houses of the high places among the Samaritans. 2 Kings 17:31. A sort of Adar-Mars, i.e., sun-god, who was regarded as a destroying being (Fürst). Heathengod


(왕하17:31 아와 사람들은 닙하스와 다르닥을 만들었고 스발와임 사람들은 그 자녀를 불살라 그 신 아드람멜렉과 아남멜렉에게 드렸으며 


2.  One of the sons of Sennacherib who smote his father with the sword and then fled to the land of Armenia. 2 Kings 19:37; Isa. 37:38.


(왕하19:37 그 신 니스록의 묘에 경배할 때에 아드람멜렉과 사레셀이 저를 칼로 쳐 죽이고 아라랏 땅으로 도망하매 그 아들 에살핫돈이 대신하여 왕이 되니라 


(사37:38 자기 신 니스록의 묘에서 경배할 때에 그 아들 아드람멜렉과 사레셀이 그를 칼로 죽이고 아라랏 땅으로 도망한 고로 그 아들 에살핫돈이 이어 왕이 되니라
