Hosea 06: When The World Is Going To Reject The Way Of Satan
by Wayne Blank

"Many nations shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may teach us His ways and that we may walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the Law, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem"
The Kingdom of Israel (see Israel In History and Prophecy: King David and How Many Kings Reigned In The United Kingdom?; also The Return Of The King) was created as a living prophecy of the coming Kingdom of God (see The First And Last Nation and The Patriotism Prophecy). The people of Israel repeatedly failed to live up to their calling however, although they never ceased to be a "religious" people - followers of themselves in His Name. In that regard, the people of the Christian-professing world (see Why Call Me, Lord, Lord, and Do Not The Things Which I Say?) have repeatedly done the very same thing.
Numerous prophecies of the Holy Bible refer specifically to the people of Israel's future restoration as true followers of the LORD (see The Identity Of The LORD God and The LORD God Our Saviour), but the time that it will be accomplished will also be the time when all of humanity will turn its back to Satan's deceptions and seek the LORD's Way.
The famous "dry bones" gathering of Israel at the time of the return of the Messiah (see also The Eighth Day: When Life Will Begin Again):
"37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones. 37:2 And he led me around among them, and behold, there were very many on the surface of the valley, and behold, they were very dry. 37:3 And he said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"
And I answered, "O Lord GOD, you know."
37:4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. 37:5 Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. 37:6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will cause flesh to come upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live, and you shall know that I am the LORD."
37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 37:8 And I looked, and behold, there were sinews on them, and flesh had come upon them, and skin had covered them. But there was no breath in them.
37:9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived and stood on their feet, an exceedingly great army.
37:11 Then he said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried up, and our hope is lost; we are indeed cut off.' 37:12 Therefore prophesy, and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will open your graves and raise you from your graves, O my people. And I will bring you into the land of Israel. 37:13 And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I open your graves, and raise you from your graves, O my people. 37:14 And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the LORD; I have spoken, and I will do it, declares the LORD."
37:15 The word of the LORD came to me: 37:16 "Son of man, take a stick and write on it, 'For Judah, and the people of Israel associated with him'; then take another stick and write on it, 'For Joseph (the stick of Ephraim) and all the house of Israel associated with him.' 37:17 And join them one to another into one stick, that they may become one in your hand.
37:18 And when your people say to you, 'Will you not tell us what you mean by these?' 37:19 say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I am about to take the stick of Joseph (that is in the hand of Ephraim) and the tribes of Israel associated with him. And I will join with it the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, that they may be one in my hand. 37:20 When the sticks on which you write are in your hand before their eyes, 37:21 then say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will take the people of Israel from the nations among which they have gone, and will gather them from all around, and bring them to their own land. 37:22 And I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel. And one king shall be king over them all, and they shall be no longer two nations, and no longer divided into two kingdoms. 37:23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols and their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions. But I will save them from all the backslidings in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
37:24 "My servant David shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd. They shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 37:25 They shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children's children shall dwell there forever, and David my servant shall be their prince forever. 37:26 I will make a covenant of peace with them. It shall be an everlasting covenant with them. And I will set them in their land and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 37:27 My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 37:28 Then the nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is in their midst forevermore." (Ezekiel 37:1-28 KJV)
At the very same time, all of humanity will also find their way back to the LORD - as described in the famous "swords into plowshares" prophecy (see also Zechariah: He Shall Stand Upon The Mount Of Olives):
"4:1 It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it, 4:2 and many nations shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4:3 He shall judge between many peoples, and shall decide for strong nations far away; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore;" (Micah 4:1-3 KJV)
The other prophets saw it all too. Notice here in Hosea, how the people of Judah, specifically, will at last accept the Messiah's three days and three nights death and resurrection, as spoken in direct reference with "on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him."
"6:1 "Come, let us return to the LORD; for he has torn us, that he may heal us; he has struck us down, and he will bind us up. 6:2 After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him. 6:3 Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth."
6:4 What shall I do with you, O Ephraim? What shall I do with you, O Judah? Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew that goes early away. 6:5 Therefore I have hewn them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth, and my judgment goes forth as the light. 6:6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings. 6:7 But like Adam they transgressed the covenant; there they dealt faithlessly with me. 6:8 Gilead is a city of evildoers, tracked with blood. 6:9 As robbers lie in wait for a man, so the priests band together; they murder on the way to Shechem; they commit villainy. 6:10 In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing; Ephraim's whoredom is there; Israel is defiled.
6:11 For you also, O Judah, a harvest is appointed, when I restore the fortunes of my people." (Hosea 6:1-11 KJV)
