Ezekiel 46: The Restoration Of The True Week And Month Is Coming
by Wayne Blank
See also 1 Year Holy Bible Reading Plan
"He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the Law shall go forth of Zion, and the Word of the LORD from Jerusalem ... And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before Me, saith the LORD"
The English-language word "time" originated from the same word as for tide i.e. people asked "What tide is it?" in the same way that people today ask "What time is it?" - as we will read, it's a Biblically-appropriate connection because tides are caused by the gravitational force of the moon during its orbit around the Earth, in relation to the rotation of the Earth.
Time is a measurement of physical change. The reason that God is Eternal is because He is not subject to physical time. While God the Father is commonly thought of as an old man, His appearance could just as well be that of a young man because God does not age. That's what eternal life is all about.
Time began with the physical Creation, as determined by the movement of the sun (the "day," from sunset to sunset), the moon (the "month," from new moon to new moon) and the stars (seasons of the year - the spring and autumn equinoxes, and the summer and winter solstices - which includes the sun, which is a star; see also What Can You See In The Firmament Of The Heavens?).
"1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." (Genesis 1:3-5 KJV)
"1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day." (Genesis 1:14-19 KJV)
The week is the only measurement of time that the LORD created by decree. The week was created when the LORD declared that the week is to have seven days, the seventh day of which is His Sabbath. The LORD's Sabbath was a creation of the LORD, not any human, or human "church."
"2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." (Genesis 2:1-3 KJV)
Most humans have chosen to ignore, or have been misled to ignore, the Creator's genuine calendar. Some calendars have now even blatantly re-arranged the days so that the first day is incorrectly shown as the seventh i.e. calendars that begin with Monday and end with Sunday.
For many, the months too have become a man-made delusion that ignore the phase of the moon (the word "month" literally means moon) and begin at any day of the month (on their calendar, there can even be two new moons - a natural impossibility). So too the seasons and the calendar (see How Did Rome Change True Time?).
On the other hand, the right one (see Which Way Is Right And Left?), the LORD's true calendar begins in spring, at the time of Passover, while the Roman calendar now begins as winter is just beginning in the northern hemisphere. Humanity's man-made calendars are confused (see also The Cure For Confusion).
The LORD (see The Identity Of The LORD God and The LORD God Our Saviour) is returning to show humanity the good Way - the Way that is true and in perfect harmony with the Creation. When the Satanic influence has been removed, humans will joyously see the Truth of the LORD.
"4:1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4:3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more." (Micah 4:1-3 KJV)
"14:8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one." (Zechariah 14:8-9 KJV)
"66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 66:23 KJV)
The time that Ezekiel was given to see (see What Temple Did Ezekiel See? and When Will There Be No More Temples Built In Jerusalem?) described that same coming enlightenment in which humanity will joyously celebrate being truly free from all of man's Satan-inspired errors and rebelliousness. Included in that will be the observation of the calendar that the LORD declared for His Creation.
"46:1 Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened. 46:2 And the prince shall enter by the way of the porch of that gate without, and shall stand by the post of the gate, and the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, and he shall worship at the threshold of the gate: then he shall go forth; but the gate shall not be shut until the evening. 46:3 Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons. 46:4 And the burnt offering that the prince shall offer unto the LORD in the sabbath day shall be six lambs without blemish, and a ram without blemish. 46:5 And the meat offering shall be an ephah for a ram, and the meat offering for the lambs as he shall be able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah. 46:6 And in the day of the new moon it shall be a young bullock without blemish, and six lambs, and a ram: they shall be without blemish. 46:7 And he shall prepare a meat offering, an ephah for a bullock, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs according as his hand shall attain unto, and an hin of oil to an ephah. 46:8 And when the prince shall enter, he shall go in by the way of the porch of that gate, and he shall go forth by the way thereof.
46:9 But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it. 46:10 And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth.
46:11 And in the feasts and in the solemnities the meat offering shall be an ephah to a bullock, and an ephah to a ram, and to the lambs as he is able to give, and an hin of oil to an ephah. 46:12 Now when the prince shall prepare a voluntary burnt offering or peace offerings voluntarily unto the LORD, one shall then open him the gate that looketh toward the east, and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he did on the sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.
46:13 Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the LORD of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning. 46:14 And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a meat offering continually by a perpetual ordinance unto the LORD. 46:15 Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meat offering, and the oil, every morning for a continual burnt offering.
46:16 Thus saith the Lord GOD; If the prince give a gift unto any of his sons, the inheritance thereof shall be his sons'; it shall be their possession by inheritance. 46:17 But if he give a gift of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his to the year of liberty; after it shall return to the prince: but his inheritance shall be his sons' for them. 46:18 Moreover the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance by oppression, to thrust them out of their possession; but he shall give his sons inheritance out of his own possession: that my people be not scattered every man from his possession.
46:19 After he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy chambers of the priests, which looked toward the north: and, behold, there was a place on the two sides westward. 46:20 Then said he unto me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, where they shall bake the meat offering; that they bear them not out into the utter court, to sanctify the people.
46:21 Then he brought me forth into the utter court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and, behold, in every corner of the court there was a court. 46:22 In the four corners of the court there were courts joined of forty cubits long and thirty broad: these four corners were of one measure. 46:23 And there was a row of building round about in them, round about them four, and it was made with boiling places under the rows round about. 46:24 Then said he unto me, These are the places of them that boil, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people." (Ezekiel 46:1-24 KJV)
