Isaiah 54: What Would Noah Say About The World Today?
by Wayne Blank

"And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man"
Much of the man-made world in which we live today has descended to a morally-barbaric level that has happened only once before - in the time of Noah, just before the Flood. Many today have even perverted the symbolic meaning of the rainbow into a defiant sign of mockery of the LORD - the very same sign that the LORD gave to righteous Noah after He destroyed those who mocked Him in the same way in Noah's time ("I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth"; Genesis 9:13 KJV).
We live in a time when many of man's "laws" enforce lawlessness (see Iniquity In History And Prophecy) and where many of man's "rights" are moral and anti-nature wrongs (see Decadence In History And Prophecy). Noah would recognize the "modern" world of today because it's the same confused world (see The Cure For Confusion) that he chose to be delivered from - just as those who choose to live according to the Word of God now will also be delivered from it, at the time of the Messiah's return: "And as it was in the days of Noe [i.e. Noah, in the KJV New Testament], so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man."
"17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man." (Luke 17:16 KJV)
"3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." (2 Timothy 3:1-5 KJV)
So too also, another Flood is coming, not of water, but of fire - for those who refuse to repent. No amount of self-righteous arrogance and/or Satanic defiance will stop it, or be able to defend the wicked from it.
"3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, 3:4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
3:11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 3:12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness." (2 Peter 3:3-13 KJV)
And then what is going to happen to those who have persecuted those who have chosen to repent and obey the LORD? They were in the mud under the feet of Noah in his time. What will they be under the feet of the righteous in the end time? "They shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD."
"4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall. 4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts." (Malachi 4:1-3 KJV)
Most of what was written by the prophets looked beyond the present "world" (such as it has been since man chose to be a rebel) to the time in which Paradise will be restored on Earth - everywhere on Earth (see also The First And Last Nation). Isaiah too saw it very clearly (see Isaiah 26: Life From The Dust - Past And Future and Isaiah 25: Which Tree Will You Pick Fruit From?).
"54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.
54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; 54:3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
54:4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more. 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called. 54:6 For the LORD hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God. 54:7 For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee. 54:8 In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the LORD thy Redeemer.
54:9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee. 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
54:11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours, and lay thy foundations with sapphires. 54:12 And I will make thy windows of agates, and thy gates of carbuncles, and all thy borders of pleasant stones. 54:13 And all thy children shall be taught of the LORD; and great shall be the peace of thy children. 54:14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. 54:15 Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake. 54:16 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.
54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 54:1-17 KJV)
