The Kingdom of the Father
is like a merchant, who
found a pearl to add on to his possessions.
Being a clever merchant, he sold his other
possessions, and bought himself the pearl alone.
Seek like him the treasure which does not fade, in
the place where no moths enter to consume, and no
worms to corrupt.

(76) Jesus said: The kingdom of the Father is like a merchant was who had a load (of goods) and found a pearl. That merchant was wise. He sold the load, and bought for himself the pearl alone. You also, seek after his treasure which does not perish but endures, where moth does not enter to devour, nor does worm destroy.

예수께서 말씀하시니라.
"아버지의 나라는 마치 많은 물건을 가지고 있던 중에
좋은 한 알의 진주를 발견한 장사꾼과 같나니,
그 장사꾼은 생각이 깊은 사람이어서
자신이 가지고 있던 모든 물건들을 팔아
자기 자신을 위하여 그 한 알의 진주를 샀느니라."
그러므로 너희도 역시 그 상인과 같이
벌레가 먹지 않고 좀도 슬지 않는 곳에
영원히 사라지지 않는 그런 보물을 찾아야 하리라.
