Man is like a skilful fisherman,
casting his net into the sea
and drawing it out replete with small fish.
If the wise fisherman finds amongst them a large fish
He throws the smaller back into the sea,
Having selected the largest with ease.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

"사람이란 자신의 그물을 바다에 던져
작은 물고기를 가득 잡아 올린 슬기로운 어부와 같으니라.
그 슬기로운 어부는 그 가운데서 한 마리의 크고 좋은
물고기를 가려내고
다른 작은 물고기들은 모두 바다에 도로 던져 넣었느니라.
그는 망설이지 않고 큰 고기를 선택하였느니라.
여기 있는 그 누구든 들을 귀가 있는 자들은 알아들을지어다.”
