Q. 92. What is a sacrament?

A. A sacrament is a holy ordinance instituted by Christ;[189] wherein, by sensible signs, Christ, and the benefits of the new covenant, are represented, sealed, and applied to believers.[190]


[189] Matthew 28:19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: (마28:19 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 족속으로 제자를 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 주고 

Matthew 26:26-28. And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. (마26:26-28저희가 먹을 때에 예수께서 떡을 가지사 축복하시고 떼어 제자들을 주시며 가라사대 받아 먹으라 이것이 내 몸이니라 하시고 또 잔을 가지사 사례하시고 저희에게 주시며 가라사대 너희가 다 이것을 마시라 이것은 죄 사함을 얻게 하려고 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라 

Mark 14:22-25. And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body. And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it. And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many. Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God. (막14:22-25 저희가 먹을 때에 예수께서 떡을 가지사 축복하시고 떼어 제자들에게 주시며 가라사대 받으라 이것이 내 몸이니라 하시고 또 잔을 가지사 사례하시고 저희에게 주시니 다 이를 마시매 가라사대 이것은 많은 사람을 위하여 흘리는바 나의 피 곧 언약의 피니라 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 내가 포도나무에서 난 것을 하나님 나라에서 새것으로 마시는 날까지 다시 마시지 아니하리라 하시니라 

 Luke 22:19-20. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. (눅22:19-20 또 떡을 가져 사례하시고 떼어 저희에게 주시며 가라사대 이것은 너희를 위하여 주는 내 몸이라 너희가 이를 행하여 나를 기념하라 하시고 저녁 먹은 후에 잔도 이와 같이 하여 가라사대 이 잔은 내 피로 세우는 새 언약이니 곧 너희를 위하여 붓는 것이라

1 Corinthians 1:22-26. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. (고전1:22-26 유대인은 1)표적을 구하고 헬라인은 지혜를 찾으나 우리는 십자가에 못 박힌 그리스도를 전하니 유대인에게는 거리끼는 것이요 이방인에게는 미련한 것이로되 오직 부르심을 입은 자들에게는 유대인이나 헬라인이나 그리스도는 하나님의 능력이요 하나님의 지혜니라 하나님의 미련한 것이 사람보다 지혜 있고 하나님의 약한 것이 사람보다 강하니라 형제들아 너희를 부르심을 보라 육체를 따라 지혜 있는 자가 많지 아니하며 능한 자가 많지 아니하며 문벌 좋은 자가 많지 아니하도다

[190] Galatians 3:27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (갈3:27누구든지 그리스도와 합하여 세례를 받은 자는 그리스도로 옷입었느니라 

1 Corinthians 10:16-17. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. (고전10:16-17 우리가 축복하는바 축복의 잔은 그리스도의 피에 참예함이 아니며 우리가 떼는 떡은 그리스도의 몸에 참예함이 아니냐 떡이 하나요 많은 우리가 한 몸이니 이는 우리가 다 한 떡에 참예함이라 


문92. 성례가 무엇인가 ?

답. 성례는 그리스도께서 세우신 거룩한 예식인데 그리스도와 그 생언약의 유익을 깨닫는 표로서 표시하여 인쳐 신자들에게 적용하는 것이다.

      (1) 그리스도 께서 세우신 것 (마26:26-28 , 28:19 , 눅 22:15 )

      (2) 신자에게 인친 표 (눅 22:20 , 롬 4:11 )
