Revelation 04: The Messiah's Returns - To Heaven And Earth

"O Father, glorify Thou Me with Thine own Self with the Glory which I had with Thee before the world was ... This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven"

When the Messiah ascended back to the highest heaven ("3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven" John 3:13 KJV), "He was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight" (see also The Messiah's View As He Ascended To Heaven and John's Eyewitness Of The Messiah And The LORD God)

"1:9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 1:10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:9-11 KJV)

Exactly as prophesied, the Messiah will return "in the clouds" - at the time when the first resurrection will also happen (see The Feast Of Trumpets: The Return Of The Messiah).

"4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV)

The Holy Scriptures identify three levels of "heaven" - the Earth's atmosphere ("For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth" Isaiah 55:10 KJV), outer space of the planets and stars ("And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years" Genesis 1:14 KJV), and the place of God's Throne ("Our Father which art in heaven" Matthew 6:9 KJV). The "clouds of heaven" described in the verses above are obviously clouds of the atmosphere.

But notice the "clouds of heaven" at God's Throne, as described when the Messiah returned to God from Earth (see also Daniel 1: Daniel's Knowledge Of Wisdom And Science).

"7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 7:14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." (Daniel 7:13-14 KJV)

The apostle John, as did the prophet Daniel, then described the scene at The Throne of God when Jesus Christ returned there (see also Who Sits At The Right Hand Of God?).

"4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter. 4:2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. 4:3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. 4:4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 4:6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle. 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

4:9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, 4:10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." (Revelation 4:1-11 KJV)
